Schools Are Shut Due To 5.4 Mag. Earthquakes In J&K: In the Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir an earthquake hit with a magnitude of 5.4 on Tuesday (13.06.2023) afternoon. This earthquake made a deep impact on schools and hospitals and partially destroyed the government building across the epicentre.

The education department has ordered to shut the schools across the affected areas due to many facilities have been destroyed. According to the report, two students got minor injuries and they are admitted to the hospital. The epicentre of the earthquake points at Doda district.

The district people have been in shock due to the sudden shaking of the earth with severe vibrations. The regions have also experienced some aftershocks of the quake. It is anticipated that the district administration will renovate the affected school buildings and soon the schools will be commenced.
