Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the new low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal will strengthen into a deep depression that causes heavy rain. Due to this, it has been announced that there may be heavy rain in a few districts of Tamil Nadu for the next 4 to 5 days. Also, Red Alert has been issued for 3 districts including Chennai, Thiruvallur, and Kanchipuram.
