The Ministry of Defense issued the statement related to the scheme of providing increased the monthly financial assistance of the parentless ex-servicemen children. The Minister allows the officials to increase the monthly financial assistance to the orphan children of ex-servicemen from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. Minister released the statement which will enable orphaned children to live their lives in a better way with honour and dignity.

As per the Minister’s report this policy is applicable for the parentless children of the ex-servicemen. Certainly the son or unmarried daughter of those ex-servicemen and whose age is less than 21 years. To get the benefits under this scheme, one has to apply to the concerned Zilla Sainik Board (ZSB), on the basis of which financial assistance is given.
