Reserve Bank Of India Latest News Decision Notification on 2000 Rupee Note – New Cash will not be Released this year – Reserve Bank of India said that they have stopped printing 2000 Rupees Note for this financial year 2021-22. No new 2000 rupees note will be distributed this year. In addition, the RBI announced that 85.7% of total Indian money is the form of 2000 and 500 notes. So, they have stopped printing 2000 rupees note for this year.
After attending RBI board meeting Prime Minster Modi announced the demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 Notes on November 8, 2016. There were totally 86% of money has been banned then New 500 and 2000 rupees were introduced. Then after New 2000 Rupees and 500 Rupees note started circulation throughout the India. 1000 rupees note was not printed again.
Then in 2019 Reserve Bank stopped printing 2000 rupees notes because over 85.7 percentage of India Money is circulated only in the form of 2000 and 500 rupees notes only. RBI has stopped printing 2000 Rupees notes to stops developing Money Inflation. The New 2000 Rupees note was not printed for this financial note.
We are all using the same 2000 Rupees notes and it was finally printed in the Year 2019. No new 2000 rupees currency note has been printed since 2019. It is noteworthy that the printing of the 2000-rupee note has been suspended due to security concerns.
