PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021: Punjab Board considering exams only for three compulsory subjects!!! Punjab School Education Board, PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021 is likely to be conducted in June, 2021.  Punjab Board is considering conducting class 12 examinations only for main subjects. PSEB chairman has confirmed that PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021 will be held once COVID 19 situation in the state improves.

School Education Minister, Mr. Singla was quoted saying from his official Twitter account, “Punjab Govt is committed to ensuring the safety of students & teachers in these pandemic times. Put forth my views on the Centre prioritizing safety & considering taking exams for only 3 elective subjects for class XII, during a virtual meeting with Union Ministers”.

School Education Secretary Krishan Kumar and Punjab School Education Board Chairman Prof. Yograj were also present in the meeting.

The Punjab Board is considering holding 12th board exams for three papers only which may or may not include the language paper depending upon the stream selected by the students. Kumar said, “we are considering to hold papers for three major subjects, for instance, physics, chemistry and math subjects for non-medical students, however, which all subjects come under major subjects and how to formulate marks for the minor subjects are all under consideration.”

We already have 2600 exam centres and will consider increasing the number further as students will be made to sit six feet apart during the exams,” PSEB officials said while addressing media.

He further added that PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021 dates are yet to be decided but the board will conduct exams for three compulsory subjects in each stream. However, which subjects come under major subjects and how to formulate marks are under consideration.

PSEB has already announced the results for its class 5, 8, and Class 10 students. The Board announced the results for class 8 and 10 on May 17 while the results for class 5 were released on May 24, 2021.

In case any student is not satisfied with the result, he/she can write to the board on [email protected]. The students will be given a chance to write for theory exam as and when COVID situation improves.

For these students or any other COVID-affected candidate, the PSEB will hold re-exams two months after the conduct of the main exam. The PSEB 12th exam dates are likely to be announced in June. Over 3.18 lakh students have registered with Punjab Board to appear for the PSEB 12th exams.
