Good News for Swiggy Employees – Permanent Work From Home Policy! Here are the Full Details!!! Swiggy is an Indian online food ordering and delivery platform which based in Bangalore and operates in 500 Indian cities. This company has recently announced a new Moonlighting policy. Through this policy the employees can work second jobs, outside normal business hours of the primary job under some rules.
Meanwhile, Swiggy announced a permanent work from home mode for it’s employees. On regarding this the head of human resources at Swiggy, Girish Menon clears some questions which was raised in a meet. He said that, as Swiggy is an employee-centric organization we care for the well-being of employees, through a ‘Remote First’ work policy which was released in November 2021.
Then the decision to announce the permanent job was made based on team needs and feedback from multiple managers and employees to see how they could improve this flexibility. After getting months of feedback from employees, it was decided to introduce our ‘Work from Remote or Permanent Work from Anywhere’ policy. And on the policy of working from the office only a few days in a month.
Meanwhile corporate, central business operations and technology teams can meet for a week at their base location once every quarter, even if they work remotely, to encourage collaboration. The employees will work from the office two or three times a week and remotely the rest of the days. This includes sales teams, fleet managers etc. Apart from this, Swiggy’s Parent and Child Care Policy provides primary caregivers with 26 weeks of leave and secondary caregiver with 12 weeks of leave. This includes adoptive mothers and single parents.
