ODISHA Suspends Offline Teaching For Classes 9, 11 Standards Till 30 April!!!!
THE Odisha government on Wednesday announced to shut down offline teaching for students of class 9th and 11th. All the private, government and aided schools have been ordered to hold physical classes till 30th April 2021. Schools are allowed to conduct the online classes till 30.4.2021.
The authorities took this decision due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases. Further students residing in hostels and residential schools are allowed to return to their homes. However, the Students of Classes 10 and 12 will continue attending the schools while taking COVID-19 precautions. The Odisha State Board has already circulated rules to be followed while conducting the offline classes to avoid the spread of infections.
The secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, Satyabrata Sahu mentioned in a letter to Directors and District Education Officers that the schools can take up online classes for students of classes 9th and 11th. Odisha schools reopened for the students of classes 10th and 12th on 8th January. The colleges and universities in the state reopened on 11th January for final year students.
Students, teachers and school staff will have to wear masks, maintain social distancing and ensure washing hands and using sanitizers.
Those staying in the hostels will also have to maintain hygiene and avoid crowding outside the washrooms, mess and other common areas. Odisha had decided to promote all the students of Classes 1 to 8 to a higher grade without examinations for the academic session 2020-21.
