NPC Plans to Hire 30,000 Field Workers For The Census In 2023!!!! For the 2023 National Population and Housing Census in Anambra State, the National Population Commission (NPC) has revealed that about 30,000 field officers would be hired.
The Federal Commissioner who represents the Commission in the state, Mr. Chidi Ezeoke, stated that they used the strategy to guarantee fairness and openness in the recruitment process yesterday during the launch of the online e-recruitment site for the exercise in Awka. The number of officials to be hired in each category, according to Ezeoke, will depend on the number of openings in each state, which will mostly be determined by the total number of enumeration areas in the state.

He lists the following categories of field staff: supervisors, enumerators, monitoring and evaluation officers, data quality managers, assistants, and training centre administrators. He continued by saying that the success of the census will ultimately depend on how well the hiring process went and how well the data was collected.
