Nearly 1.31 Lakhs Absent in TNPSC Group 1 Exam – Information Released!! It has been reported that 1.31 lakh people did not appear in the Group 1 examination conducted in around 1000 centers across Tamil Nadu. It has been reported that only 59.23% of candidates had written the Group 1 examination conducted for the posts of Deputy Collector, and Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies. Earlier, 3,22,414 people across the state had applied to write the Group 1 exam.
Information has been received that 1,31,457 candidates were absent for the exam and only 1,90,957 appeared for the exam. Earlier, the notification for filling up 92 posts including 18 deputy collector posts, 26 deputy superintendent of police, 25 assistant commissioner of commercial tax, 13 deputy registrar of cooperatives, 7 assistant directors of rural development, and 3 district fire officers was released in July.

Later, the Group 1 exam which was scheduled to be held on October 30 was shifted to November 19 due to some reasons. Meanwhile, those who pass the primary examination which was held today will qualify for the primary examination.
