National Apprenticeship Mela– Government Will Directly Give the Stipend Cash To the Candidates. National Apprenticeship Mela was conducted for the apprentice’s candidates. While addressing the event Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that, a digital dashboard will be set up to further streamline the apprenticeship process and the stipend amount will be transferred directly in the bank account of apprentices engaged in the industry.
The National Apprenticeship Mela launched across 700 locations in the country, the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister said going forward, the melas (apprenticeship fairs) will be a monthly affair and the endeavour is to ensure that more than 10 lakh trainees engage with corporate as apprentices.
The main objective of the programme is to encourage the hiring of approximately 1 lakh apprentices and to assist employers in identifying and developing their potential through training and practical skillsets. In addition, the young and aspiring workforce was given a choice of 500+ trades, including welder, electrician, housekeeper, beautician, mechanic, and others. They were given on-the-spot apprenticeship offers with monthly stipends as per the government standards.
