 NASA Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Name of the Post Qualification
Supervisory AST, Software Systems The nominee must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree with a major in one of the following:

·        Engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs.

·        Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science or other field of Science.

·        Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of course work in any combination of mathematics, statistics and computer science with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus.
Electrical Engineer AST – Electrical Power Systems The nominee must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree with a major in one of the following:

 NASA Recruitment 2022 Duties:

Supervisory AST, Software Systems
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all three disciplines: Software Assurance, Mission Operations Assurance, and Ground System Assurance.
  • Work with discipline leads and provide technical support and guidance to the development and maintenance of software systems for use in flight and ground data systems.
  • Define technical work requirements and milestones, select employees, and assign work; evaluate, present, and defend the organization and employee work product and accomplishments to senior management and other offices.
  • Collaborate with other centers and agency software assurance and engineering, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies for improvements.
  • Obtain resources and identifies strategic objectives for the organization. Monitor contracted work through regular tag-ups and formal executions through Task Order Management System (TOMS).
Electrical Engineer AST – Electrical Power Systems
  • Performs multiple functions which may include planning, research, analysis, design, and development of power analog electronics supporting space-flight projects.
  • Evaluates design requirements and produces reliable subassembly level architecture and detail design approaches for space-flight power systems and instrument solutions.
  • Reviews, conducts technical analysis and developmental trade studies in support of Science programs and technology driven requirements related to instrument power and other specialized areas including motor controllers, deployment mechanism, etc.
  • Plans and evaluates power system projects and/or Internal Research and Development Programs (IRADs) using specialized power drivers? technology and others for space applications.
  • Directs the development, testing, and manufacturing of unique and leading-edge technology for the development of specialized power drivers? technology and others for space applications.
  • Provides consultation on reliable and repeatable fabrication of space-flight analog power electronics and subcomponents incorporating best practices for both in-house and out-of-house projects.
