 NASA Recruitment 2021 Educational Qualification:

Candidates interested in applying for this position should have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in engineering, physical science, mathematics, life science, computer science, or another physical scientific discipline. Engineering technology degrees are not considered as qualification for this position.

NASA Recruitment 2021 Experience:

The candidates should have minimum one year of specialized experience in relevant field with mentioned manner.

• To qualify for GS-13, aspirants must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent as mentioned on the job description.
• Aspirants should have the experience interacting with non-software subsystem leads, systems engineers, or project managers.

NASA Job Role:

The selected candidates will get the following responsibility as AST – Software Systems

• Selected candidates have to direct a wide variety of multidisciplinary development and design efforts for high-performance computing systems and other complicated computer processing requirements.
• They should assess customer perceptions and actively seeks input for process and work product improvement.
• They have to ensure the cooperation and teamwork; employs inventive and creative problem-solving techniques to solve complex issues.
• AST – Software Systems staff have to manage and direct problem-solving activities related to the creation of embedded software systems that are difficult, contentious, and unprecedented.
• Assist with the design, development, and testing of software for on-board computer systems of science instruments and/or spacecraft as a technical lead
