MKU’s new Vice Chancellor named Dr. Kumar who served Anna University Professor!!!

Madurai Kamaraj University’s Latest Vice-Chancellor called Dr. J. Kumar: who formerly worked as an Anna University Professor. Tamil Nadu governor R N Ravi on Tuesday appointed professor J Kumar as the new vice-chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University. He will serve as vice-chancellor for a period of three years with effect from the date of his assumption of office.

Kumar is former UGC BSR faculty member at Anna University’s Crystal Growth Centre. From 2018 to 2019, he was the registrar (in charge) of Anna University. Kumar has 29 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed 20 research and development projects that were funded by the government. He’s also the proud owner of two patents.

He has published more than 160 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and has guided 25 research scholars. He has also served as director of the Centre for Technology Development and Transfer and director of Planning and Development.

He also served as Registrar-in-charge and has been instrumental in implementing several administrative reforms. Dr. Kumar has been awarded Best Innovation Award DSSTM by University of Parma, Italy, Tamil Nadu Scientist Award. He has rich International exposure and has carried out collaborative research and teaching at foreign institution. He visited 15 foreign countries for academic and research purpose.
