Konkan Railway Age Limit
Candidate’s age should not exceed maximum age limit of 55 years as on 01.07.2021 to apply for this recruitment. Age relaxation will be given to candidates only in deserving cases.
Chief Engineer Education Requirement
To apply for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer Design (JAG) or (SG) candidate should have completed BE or B.Tech in Civil Engineering from reputed institute university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Candidate who completed ME / M Tech in Structural Engineering / Geotechnical / Foundation Engineering / Earthquake Engineering from reputed institute or university will be preferred.
Chief Engineer Experience Required
Applicant should have minimum 12 or 16 years of experience to apply for JAG or SG respectively. Candidates should have work experience in structural design of Bridges / Viaducts / flyovers for Railway / Road / Metro loading based on Indian. Candidate should have sound knowledge of IS, IRS, IRC and other relevant codes related to design or International (EURO, BS & AASTHO) standards & basic design philosophy.
KRCL Chief Engineer Selection Process
Based on the candidate’s profile, eligibility and experience applicants about 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for Personal Interview. Based on the weightage of marks given below candidates will get appointed for the post. Candidate should have to get minimum 60% of marks.

Konkan Railway Application fee
Candidates should have to pay Rs. 500 as application fee. Fee should be paid in favour of FA&CAO/KRCL, SBI-Belapur, Account No. 54000000065, IFSC Code-SBIN0040524. SC/ST candidates, minority candidates/Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. SC/ ST candidate should have to submit caste certificate and In case of minority candidates affidavit in Rs.200 non-Judicial stamp paper is to be enclosed.
Konkan Railway Salary Structure
- Selected candidate for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer or Design (JAG) will paid for Rs. 78800 – Rs. 209200 per month.
- Selected candidate for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer / Design (SG) will paid for Rs.123100 -Rs. 215900 per month.
