Kendriya Vidyalayas Seats not be Increased: Union Education Minster Reasoned the Question!!!The Union Education Ministry cancelled all the proposals on increasing seat numbers in Kendriya Vidyalayas.  Dharmendra Pradhan, Education Minister in Rajya Sabha announced that “ At Present, There is no purpose to increase existing seat number in Kendriya Vidyhalayas” and also informed that 122 new KV schools were opened in last 5 years.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a group of schools run by Central government Ministry of Education. It is the largest chains of schools in India. There were totally 1248 Kendriya Vidyalayas in India and 3 schools were sited abroad. It was started to educate children of Indian Defence Service then the service was extended to all central government employees.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that “Opening New Kendriya VIdyalayas is a continuous process. The main purpose of KV schools is to given proper education to children of Transferable Central Government Employees including defence and para-military personnel, central autonomous bodies and PSU to providing common education across India”.
