IT Service Net Hiring Dipped by 24% During H1 – Report Said!! In the past 2 years, many Indian tech companies have been providing job opportunities to lakhs of freshers. However, reports suggest that these companies are reducing the hiring numbers in the current financial year. Accordingly, India’s leading IT firms have reduced net employee enrolment by a quarter. And the number is expected to nearly halve as the next two quarters are weaker.
Meanwhile, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, and HCL Tech added about 81,700 net employees in the first half of the current fiscal year. An analysis shows that this is a decrease of almost 24% from the previous financial year. This means that hiring is reported to be low this year as the talent crunch in IT companies has eased and attrition levels are low. Commenting on the move, Teamlease Digital CEO Sunil C said, “We will see a further decline in net hiring numbers over the next two quarters as clients become more cautious due to the macro-economic situation.”
