The CISCE has planned to hold two examinations in the same examination year, as per the directive. This is consistent with the test schedule specified in the National Education Policy (NEP) paper. Multiple-Choice Questions are the format of the Question Paper to be used in the Semester 1 Examination (MCQ type).

Candidates will be given Question Paper – Cum – Answer Booklets to attempt their paper because the Semester 1 Examination is in the MCQ format. Candidates will only be allowed to write on these booklets and hand them in to the invigilators at the end of the exam. For those subjects where computations, diagrams, and other forms of rough work are required, sheets for conducting Rough Work have been included in the Question Paper – cum – Answer Booklet.
Each candidate registered and confirmed to appear for the ICSE Year 2022 Examination must appear for Semester 1 and Semester 2. Semester 1 will be held in November/December 2021 and Semester 2 examination will be held in March/April 2022.

The candidates who appear for the Examination will be issued a computer-generated Mark Sheet. This Mark Sheet will only indicate the marks obtained by the candidates in each subject / paper taken by them for the Semester 1 Examination. The overall result for Compartment Examination will only be declared after completion of the Semester 2 Examination.
