The corporation, which presently has about 50,000 employees, will gradually reduce its staff across many divisions, including product, content, media, and technology.

“Around five percent of BYJU’S 50,000-strong workforce is projected to be rationalised across product, content, media, and technology teams in a stepwise manner to reduce redundancies and duplication of responsibilities, and by using technology better,” the business stated in a statement. In September 2022, the corporation provided its audited financial statements for the fiscal year 21.In a statement, Byju’s stated that these modifications were in accordance with their goal to become profitable by FY23.

“As an established company that takes its obligation to stakeholders and investors seriously, we work to achieve sustainable growth in addition to rapid revenue growth. These steps will enable us to become profitable by March 2023, as stated, according to MrinalMohit, CEO of Byju’s India operation.

Mohit continued, “None of these actions will have any influence on our revenue run rate. It is anticipated that they will all result in significant savings with no effect on growth. At least 600 employees of group companies like Toppr and WhiteHat Jr. were sacked by the company earlier this year.
