According to a LinkedIn report, 61 percent of these employees do not want to share salary details with colleagues or friends. Similarly, one in 10 professionals share salary details with trusted colleagues. The report reveals the low level of confidence among Indian employees. On the other side, 36 percent of professionals say they are willing to share their salary details with others.

In this regard, Nirajita Banerjee, India Managing Editor of LinkedIn News, said that professionals are still not comfortable sharing salary details in workplaces. However, young professionals are ahead of others in reporting their wages. Meanwhile, the report says seven in 10 professionals are optimistic about opportunities to reach the next level in their field and increase work experience, education, and income.
