IIT JAM Selection Process:

The Candidates will be Selected based on the exam computer-based test (CBT) conducting body for this year.

IIT JAM Exam Pattern:

  • The IIT JAM is to be Conducted on computer-based test (CBT) for seven subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology and Economics.
  • The Exam consist of Seven papers for 100 marks each. The Tpes of Questions asked are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
  • The Total Questions for a Paper is 60 – Differential marking scheme carrying 1 mark and 2 marks.
  • The Exam is held for 3 Hours Duration.
