23 IITs have over 4,500 Open Faculty Jobs, Government told the RajyaSabha!!!! Indian Institute of Technology has over 4,500 open faculty jobs told by Government to RajyaSabha. Candidates who are going to apply for Faculty positions get ready to apply for the posts. According to information provided to the Upper House of Parliament, the IITs in Kharagpur and Bombay have the most open faculty positions, each with 798 openings.

There are 482 open faculty vacancies at the top-ranked IIT-Madras. The IITs have 4,596 open teaching jobs in total.

Employment at Other IITs:

  • Out of all the former IITs, IIT Delhi has the fewest openings, with only 52. Along with IIT-Dhanbad, Roorkee, Kanpur, and Guwahati all have more than 300 openings.
  • The two new IITs in Tirupati (15 vacancies) and Palakkad (27) have the fewest openings.
  • At 23 Indian Institutes of Technology, there are more than 4,500 open faculty vacancies, the Ministry of Education informed the RajyaSabha (IITs).
  • According to information provided to the Upper House of Parliament, the IITs at Kharagpur (798 vacancies) and Bombay (517 vacancies) have the most open faculty positions.
  • IITs from ISM-Dhanbad (446), Roorkee (419), Kanpur (382) and Guwahati have over 300 open positions (307). IIT-Delhi has the fewest open positions—52—among the former IITs, which collectively have over 300. The Minister informed the RajyaSabha that there are just 15 openings at the new IIT in Tirupati and 27 at the one in Palakkad.
  • The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 has, in the meantime, been waived for select universities in hills and the North-East. According to previous custom, these 10 institutions have been given permission to accept students exclusively for the academic years 2022–2023 at their affiliated colleges.
