Recently, IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has released the notification for the recruitment of SO on its official site. IBPS has planned to conduct the online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers’ cadre posts in the Participating Banks in the month of December 2021/ January 2022.

Candidates who possess the educational qualification of Post Graduate/ Bachelor Degree in relevant field with respect to the post and field that they want to apply for. The age of the candidates should between the minimum age limit and maximum age limit. According to the notification, 20 years is the minimum limit and 30 years is the maximum age limit. The upper age limit can be relaxable with respect to the category of the candidates. However, any eligible candidate, who are willing to join as Specialist Officer is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XI) through IBPS Site.
There will be two tier of examination will take place. They are online Preliminary and Online Mains examination. Candidates who will qualify in online preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for online main exam and shortlisted candidates in the online main examination will be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the participating banks.

The board also announced tentative dates for these exams. As per that, the preliminary exam will take place on 26 December 2021. The mains exam will take place on 30 January 2022. The interview will take place in the month of February/March 2022. The candidates can apply for this recruitment before the last date. The last date to apply for this recruitment is 23 November 2021.
