Roles and Responsibilities for IBM Recruitment 2021:

In Cloud-based initiatives, the Site Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role. An SRE collaborates with development teams to provide platform and infrastructure management/provisioning automation, as well as service monitoring, employing the same methodologies used in software development to aid application development.

Required Technical and Professional Knowledge for IBM Recruitment 2021:

• A total of 10+ years of experience is required.
• Have a strong understanding of operational aspects (monitoring, automation, and remediation) – monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Prometheus, ELK, Distributed tracing, APM, App Dynamics, and so on.
• Troubleshooting and documenting the root cause of the problem, as well as automating the incident
• Understands the architecture, has an SRE perspective, and is familiar with the data model
• Platform Architecture and Engineering – Ability to develop and architect a Cloud platform that meets client SLAs/NFRs such as availability and system performance, among other things. SRE will build a cloud platform, as well as develop the environment provisioning architecture and identify any performance bottlenecks.

Preferred Technical and Professional Knowledge:

• Communicate effectively with members of the business and technical teams.
• Problem-solving creativity and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
• Ability to establish IPC processes, define monitoring frameworks, build automation runbooks, and conceptualise and deploy performance dashboards in collaboration with Operations teams.
• Have a background in development (SDLC, Agile, Programming languages like JEE, .NET, Node JS etc, Code quality, security, Unit Testing)
• Excellent DevOps skills, such as IAAS, Jenkins, and others
