The Karnataka state Education Minister Mr. B C Nagesh has announced that students who are wearing hijab will not be allowed to attend the II Pre-university Course which is going to be held on March 9. Students are instructed to wear uniforms like last year to attend the exams.
The Muslim girls filed a plea to Supreme Court regarding the hijab issue; the SC said that it would set up a three-bench committee to inquire about the plea and SC planned to take the hearing after the Holi vacations. The education minister announced this news during the inauguration of the website that makes registration of the new schools.
