Eligible to Apply for ATO Exam in TNPSC: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is the responsible board for filling vacant positions in the various departments in Tamil Nadu by conducting competitive exams. Recently the board has revised the educational qualification for the Assistant Tourist Officer (ATO) grade II post. With this revision, now engineering candidates are also eligible to apply for this post.
This is a piece of happy news for engineering aspirants. Every year the board will conduct the exam for Tourist Officer Posts, This year also the board released the notification for Tourist Officers in January month for 3 vacancies and planned to conduct the exam in June month.
The revised annual planner also has a schedule for the Assistant Tourist Officer post with 23 vacancies and mentioned that the notification will be released in April month. Till now the notification is not released, regarding this TNPSC Secretary Mrs. P.Uma Maheswari said that the board has revised the educational qualification for the Assistant Tourist Officer post.
The board has been waiting to get approval from the tourism department; once the approval is given the notification will be released as soon as possible said Maheswari. The tourism department officials said that candidates who have studied Tamil and English as one of the subjects in 10th and 12th are eligible to apply, rather than having Tamil as one of the subjects in their degree.
