State Govt Hiked Salary For These Workers Along With Paid Holiday: The Telangana state government is likely to increase the salary for the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) employees. The government also issued an appoint letters for the employees followed by the announcement of a hike in salary.

The appointment letter was issued by the Telangana state Finance Minister Mr. T. Harish Rao and he also states that Rs. 50,000 will be allocated to each ASHA employee for the free treatment of diagnostics and training as health workers. According to the report, the salary of nearly 27,000 employees was increased to assist with the cell phone bills from July month.
Minister also states that the state ASHA workers are receiving a better salary compared to other states like Gujarat, the salary for ASHA workers has been increased from Rs. 4,500 to 9,750, whereas the other state ASHA workers are getting between Rs. 4000 to 5000. Telangana state has already announced maternity and paid leave for the state ASHA employees.
