The Prelims Examination (Short Hand Test) was successfully conducted on 17.12.2019 to 20.12.2019 and 21.01.2020 to 24.01.2020 for Private Secretary Post. Selection will be done on the basis of Competitive Written Exam (Descriptive) +Shorthand+TypingTest
Prelims Examination:
Short hand Test:
Dictation of English Para at a speed of 80 words per minute for writing in short hand script for 2 minutes and transcribe the same at the speed of seven words per minute ( in legible handwriting, not by typing.)
The Objective of this test is to assess the candidate’s ability to write in short hand script for a given verbal speed. The nature of the test is to ascertain the short hand skill of the candidates. The candidates who possess necessary short hand skills shall be declared eligible for admission to the Mains Examination. The qualifying standard of the short hand test shall be such as may be decided by the commission.
Mains Examination:
Paper-1– English: Language skill & Computer Knowledge (Descriptive and Objective), 100 marks
Paper-2 – Skill Test (Stenography and Typing the Transcription), 100 marks, Dictation of two paragraphs of 4 minutes each (Total 8 minutes) at the speed of 120 words per minute in English Shorthand and typing transcription total 50 minutes
Marks for Interview: Interview (Viva Voce) – 50 marks
System of Merit: Marks of Paper-1, 2 and Interview of 50 marks
General Instruction:
- A candidate shall show his order of preference for appointment in secretariat departments or the offices other than secretariat departments as the case may be.
- No change in order of preference shall be allowed once submitted to the commission.
- Having regard to his rank in order of merit and the availability of vacancies of English stenographer, Grade-1 in the secretariat departments or offices other than secretariat departments, consideration shall be given to his preference when making appointment by the Government.
- No request for change in allotment to a post shall be considered by the Government after the allotment once made.
