2,000 Loan Apps Removed From Play Store in India – Google revealed!!! In India, Google has reported that over 2,000 loan apps have been removed from the Google Play Store in this year alone. Regarding this, Google APAC (Asia Pacific Region) senior director and head of trust and security Saikat Mitra said that, various mobile apps are targeting Indian users.
Considering this, the decision was taken after the consultation with local law enforcement agencies. He also mentioned that Google’s priority and its core values have always revolved around it’s user security. Moreover, the company has ensured compliance with regulations in all jurisdictions where it operates he added. Besides, ‘We are working on a policy which change the relationship between a loan app and the banking partner more explicit.
And he expects the new update will make the requirement and the relationship between how the two are connected clearer’ he said. Meanwhile in India alone, more than 2,000 loan apps have been removed from the Play Store for violating rules and sharing false information.
