Google recently disclosed that it would discontinue the free version of its venerable Hangouts software in November of this year. The current users will be switched over to the Google Chat application. Google added that the free, individual accounts still utilising the previous Hangouts on.

For those who are unaware, Google Hangouts and all related data will remain available online at least till October 2022. Until at least November 2022, you will be able to download the contents of your Hangouts account, including your conversations.
Steps to Download or Save the Google Hangouts:
- Go to Google then sign on using the same Google Account you use for Hangouts.
- Next, choose Hangouts and deselect the other apps from the list of available apps.
- Now, select Next Step.
- Determine how frequently you want to download the backup in the Delivery method. Google suggests a single download because Hangouts will shortly be replaced with Google Chat.
- Select the file type next.
- Click Export at this point.
- You receive a notice informing you that Google is copying files from Hangouts. When the takeout procedure is finished, you will get an email. To save your Hangouts data, download the file. Follow our site for daily updates regarding this.
