Good News May Hit The Ears Of Government And CBSE Employees Soon: The central government of India, usually hikes the Dearness Allowance (DA) twice a year (January and July). Previously the DA for the first half of 2023 has been hiked on March 23 by 4%. With that hike, the DA has increased from 38% to 42% and it is expected that the hike for the second half will be announced soon.
It is anticipated that the DA hike news for July to December month will be announced on or before 31.06.2023. The All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) numbers are also pointing in the same direction for the DA hike expectation. With the consideration of AICPI, the DA may be hiked by 4% for central government employees.

The central staffs are expecting the DA hike news from the government side. Recently the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) employees protested to increase their retirement age from 60 to 62 without any change in the salary. According to the report, the government is considering their demands and is likely to issue a notification regarding this as soon as possible.
The DA has been hiked by both central and state government for their employees to meet the inflation rates in the economic status. Every state government will also raise their DA to their employees after the center announced their hike.
