The EPFO Board already had a Employees’ Pension Scheme from 1995 for the Purpose of Giving Employee’s Benefit During their Retirement Period. The Retired Employees will be Given Pensions under the EPS. Recently, the Board has made Amendments in the Scheme as per the Judgment of the Supreme Court (SC). There was Changes in the Employee’s Capped Level in the New Rules.
The EPFO Board allowed the Older Members to Shift for Higher Pension under the EPS (with the interest earned) as per Order of the SC. The Board announced the Deadline to Shift to Higher Pension. The Board has Earlier Extended Deadline to Apply for Higher Pension thrice. Now, It is said that the Board giving One More Chance for Employees to Apply for it till July 11, 2023.
