According to the tentative schedule announced by the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Committee, the online application process for admission to the First Year of Junior College (FYJC) in the Mumbai, Nashik, Amravati, Nagpur, Pune, and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation areas will begin on May 17.
The process of filling out part 1 of the form will continue until the results of class X are announced, after which students will be allowed to fill out part 2 of the form, which is where they indicate their college preferences. A mock registration round will be held between May 1 and 14 to ensure that no mistakes are made during the submission of online applications. Students will be able to practise filling out the forms and understand what documents will be required when uploading their actual forms, according to Meena Shendkar, assistant director of education, Pune division, and also in charge of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Committee in Pune.

Shendkar went on to say that part 2 of the form must be submitted within 5 days after the Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary education announcing class X results. Following the special round, various First-come-first-serve rounds are held each year. Instead, the CAP committee has opted to conduct a Waiting List round this year. “After the special round, we will create a merit list for individual colleges based on the preferences filled out by the students in the special round and conduct admissions based on that,” Shendkar added.
