Odisha government sets a budget for providing free school uniforms to its government schools as well as government-aided school students. The government has already provided free uniforms for the classes from 1st to 8th, now the government aimed to provide the uniform to its 9th and 10th students.
The government has already been providing free bicycles for the students and now the Odisha govt. provides free uniforms to its students to improve the quality of the govt. schools. These free uniforms were provided under the scheme Mukhyamantri Shiksha Puraskar Yojana 2023-24. For this scheme the govt. allotted Rs.600 to Rs.1000 for a student.
