The selection of the candidates will be done through the examination that contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Descriptive Paper (Test of English Language) and Interview. The marks of Descriptive Paper (English Language) will be reckoned for merit listing. It will only be evaluated for those candidates who qualify in the Objective type of tests. The various qualifying cut off marks in each of the objective tests and the descriptive paper will be decided by ECGC.

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth or 0.25.
