Dr. RM. Kathiresan as a Vice Chancellor of Annamalai University!! Breaking. Annamalai University is a public state university located in Annamalai Nagar, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, and India. It is spread across 950 acres (3.8 km2) in Chidambaram and offers courses of higher education in Arts, Science, Engineering, Medical, Management (MBA), Humanities, Agriculture, and Physical Education.
Now Dr. RM. Kathiresan appointed as a Vice Chancellor of Annamalai University for 3yrs. Dr. Rm. Kathiresan is the fifth and last son with two brothers and two sisters. His father Sri. Sv.K.Rm. Ramanathan Chettiar was a banker at Penang, Malaysia, and mother Smt. Rm. MeenakshiAchi was a good homemaker taking care of the family by herself in India. He had his schooling at Alagappa Model High School, Karaikudi in Sivaganga District of Tamilnadu. He passed out (from Alagappa College, Karaikudi) of the Pre-university course in 1977.
He is currently a Professor of Agronomy, Annamalai University. He has 35 years of academic and research experience received 19 International and National Awards and completed 12 International and National Projects with a total outlay of Rs. 14 Crores. He has traveled all around the world delivering Keynote Addresses, Invited Plenary Lectures, and Serving as Key Resource Person.
