DOT Eligibility Criteria 2021 Details

Age Limit

Candidate age limit should be up to 56 years old is Mandatory to apply for the post of Sub Divisional Engineer and Junior Telecom Officer. For Consultant post age limit should not be more than 65 years is preferred. Candidate must fulfil the age limit criteria, If failed then they will be rejected directly by the selection committee.

Other Criteria

For SDE Post: Candidate should be Officer from the Central or State Government or Union Territories or public Sector undertakings or Recognized Research Institutions or Statutory and Autonomous bodies and should holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department or With two years service in the level rendered after appointment.

For JTO Post: Candidate should holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department or with five years service in the level rendered after appointment to the post on the regular basis the level 6 is mandatory. Candidate should passed Graduate Membership examination of the institution of electronics and telecommunication engineers (India).

For Consultant Post: Candidate should be retired assistant director or equivalent rank officer from DoT or any other central/state Govt. department OR Retired Sr. SDE/DET/DGM or equivalent rank officer from BSNL/MTNL.ITI/TCIL/Any other PSU. OR Junior Telecom Officer or equivalent rank officer from DoT or any other central/state govt department is mandatory.

DOT Salary Details

Shortlisted candidates are eligible to get a salary for Sub Divisional Engineer post is Rs. 47,600/- to Rs. 1,51,100/- per month, and for Junior Telecom Officer post salary is Rs. 44,900/- to Rs. 1,42,400/- per month from the respective board.
