Dear Indian Formula E Race Fans!!! First Ever Race Will Hosted in India From Feb, 2023.The organisers have confirmed that Formula E would travel to India for the first time ever with a race planned to take place in Hyderabad on February 11 of the following year.

After the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit in October 2013, the race in Hyderabad will mark the return of a significant international racing event to the nation. This development was first reported by PTI earlier this month.

Brazil will host the E-Prix for the first time on March 25 alongside India, according to the preliminary schedule for the 2019 ninth season provided by Formula E and the FIA (2022-23). “For the first time, E-Prix will be welcomed by two significant motorsports fan communities. According to a press release, Round 4 of the championship will take place in Hyderabad, India, on February 11 while Round 7 will take place at the Sao Paulo E-Prix on March 25 in Brazil.

The Telangana government and Formula E representatives signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to hold the event in Hyderabad earlier this year. The Formula E event will significantly aid Telangana’s administration in its mission to turn the state into a centre for electric vehicles.

The race should also provide Indian motorsports a huge boost, as they have desperately needed a high-profile event ever since Formula 1 was discontinued after three seasons.

The Season 9 schedule of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is the most comprehensive and dynamic yet, and I cannot wait to get started, according to Alberto Longo, co-founder and chief championship officer of Formula E.

“We will continue to push the international boundaries of all-electric street racing with E-Prix in Hyderabad and Sao Paulo, while maintaining the hugely popular races in Diriyah, Mexico City, Berlin, Monaco, Rome, and London with Jakarta and Seoul,” he added.

The only city to host an E-Prix in each of the championship’s nine seasons is Berlin, although Formula E will return to Seoul and Jakarta after their maiden events this year.

The following season, Jakarta will play host to a larger doubleheader of races.

The well-liked night race doubleheader will take place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on January 27 and 28. While the remaining races on the schedule are held in Monaco, Rome, and London.

The FIA-sanctioned world championship has expanded quickly over the years and features participation from the top automakers in the world, including Mercedes, Porsche, Nissan, and India’s Mahindra Racing, which has competed in the all-electric series since it began in 2014.

Karun Chandhok is the only Indian driver to have raced in the competition. The race calendar mainly consists of makeshift street circuits which are public roads on other days.
