  1. International Conscience Day of the United Nations is observed on April 5, 2022:

In 2019, the United Nations General Assembly has designated April 5 as International Conscience Day every year.

Purpose:

This day is observed with the aim of creating relationships based on stability and well-being and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in terms of relationships.

  1. Union Minister for Education and Skills Development Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has published a book titled ‘Birsa Munda – Janjatiya Nayak’:

Union Minister for Education and Skills Development Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has released a book titled ‘Birsa Munda – Janjatiya Nayak’. The book is written by Alok Chakrabal, Associate Professor, Guru Kashidas University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

Purpose: This book is a comprehensive attempt to bring to the fore the struggle of Lord Birsa Munda and the contribution of the forest dwellers in the freedom movement.

Ministry of AYUSH celebrates World Health Day Yoga Mahotsav tomorrow at Red Fort, New Delhi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Ministers are scheduled to explain the general yoga protocol on the 75th day of the countdown to International Yoga Day.

 The event will be attended by members of parliament, ambassadors from various countries, prominent sports personalities and yoga gurus. The Ministry along with its various partners have developed a 100 days countdown program for the 8th International Yoga Day, in which 100 companies promote yoga in 100 cities.

Purpose: The Government of Delhi has set up hobby hubs for public schools in Delhi to promote extra-curricular activities after school hours.

  1. The Government of India has appointed Vinay Mohan Quatra as the new Foreign Secretary of India:

The Government of India has appointed IFS Vinay Mohan Quadra as the new Foreign Secretary of India. Vinay Mohan Quadra is an Indian Ambassador and the current Indian Ambassador to Nepal. He will serve as the 34th Foreign Secretary of India from May 2022, before Harsh Vardhan Shringla. Who served as ambassador to France. He is currently serving as India’s Ambassador to Nepal from March 2020. He will replace current Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on April 30, 2022.

  1. Government issues 17 crore 90 lakh AYUSHMAN cards to beneficiaries under AYUSHMAN BHARAT scheme – PMJAY;

The AYUSHMAN BHARAT scheme, the world’s largest healthcare scheme, provides five lakh rupees a year in health insurance to the affected families and aims to benefit more than ten crore poor families across the country. Federal Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Bharti Pawar said.

Odisha and Delhi did not join the scheme, while West Bengal withdrew from the scheme in January 2019.

  1. Ministry of Environment launches ‘Prakriti’ and other green initiatives for effective plastic waste management:

Central Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Bhubaneswar Yadav has launched the ‘Prakriti’ and other green initiatives to raise awareness on plastic waste management.

Purpose: The symbol ‘Prakriti’ was launched to spread awareness about how small changes in our lifestyle can play a big role in sustaining the environment. It also highlights the various initiatives and initiatives taken by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to ensure effective plastic waste management (PWM) in the country.

11.INS Tarangini launches Logan 2022 journey from Kochi to 14 countries:

The Indian Navy’s first sailing training vessel INS Tarangini has launched its 14-nation Logan 2022 voyage from the Naval Jetty at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi. It meets 17 ports during its seven-month voyage, covering 17,485 nautical miles. The voyage was flagged off by Rear Admiral Anthony George, Commander-in-Chief of the Southern Fleet.

Purpose: The primary objective of this expedition is to train about 300 lower training officers of the Indian Navy who are part of the First Training Force.

  1. The merger of HDFC Bank and HDFC Limited has been announced:
