The National Commission for Women (NCW) launched the fourth phase of the Digital Shakti Campaign, a pan-India project on digitally empowering and skilling women and girls in cyberspace.
In line with its commitment to creating safe spaces for women and girls online, Digital Shakti 4.0 is focused on making women digitally skilled and aware to stand up against any illegal/inappropriate activity online.
The NCW launched it in collaboration with Cyber Peace Foundation and Meta.

The International Financial Services Center Authority and the Reserve Bank of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in monitoring and regulatory work in their respective areas.
This MoU aims to strengthen the security, stability and stability of the respective financial ecosystems and create an enabling environment for trade growth and economic development.

The performance of the European Union and 59 countries in protecting the climate is being followed by 3 non-governmental organizations, German watch, New Climate Institute and Climate Action Network. The organizations have released their Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) rankings for the year 2023.
In this ranking, India has moved up by 2 places to the 8th position. The top 3 spots in the rankings have been left vacant as no country performs well in all categories, the bodies said.
Accordingly, 4th place is Denmark, 5th place is Sweden, China is 51st place, America is 52nd place and Russia is 59th place.

The central government has appointed senior economist Dr Arvind Virmani as a full-time member of the NITI Aayog.
Virmani, founder-chairman of the non-profit public policy organization Foundation for Economic Growth and Welfare, has served as the Chief Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Finance during the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government from 2007-09.

The Indian Institute of Ahmadabad (IIM-A) appointed the Pankaj R Patel as the new chairperson of the IIM-A Board of Governors.
Patel succeeds Kumar Mangalam Birla, who completed his four years term on November 15, 2022. He is the 14th chairperson of the IIM-A since the institute was founded in 1961.

Tiruvarur Ennarasu Karunesan has been awarded V.O.C Award by Tamil Nadu Government for the development of various ports including Chennai Kamarajar and Kattupalli.
For 33 years he has introduced new technologies in port and warehousing industry and has raised export and import to world class ports like Mumbai, Mundra, Katupalli.

A 41-year-old Indian-origin Sikh volunteer, Amar Singh was honored along with three others with the prestigious 2023 New South Wales Australian of the Year Award
He received this award for supporting the community during floods, bushfires, drought and the pandemic.

Shiva Narwal won the men’s 10m air pistol, while Sagar Dangi picked up the junior men’s gold.
In the junior men’s air pistol, Sagar Dangi overcame Samrat Rana 17-13 to claim gold,In the men’s10m air pistol Youth event, when the trio of Sandeep Bishnoi, Sahil and Amit Sharma beat a Korean team 16-8 in the gold medal clash,In the women’s 10m air pistol youth event where Kanishka Dagar, Yashsavi Joshi and Harnavdeep Kaur defeated yet another Korean team 16-10 in the final match.
Totally India won 17 Gold medals in Asian Airgun Championship in Daegu, Korea.

The day is observed on 16th November every year to commemorate a free and responsible press.
The National Press Council of India was founded on November 16, and has been celebrated as National press Day since 1996. National Press Day is celebrated to honor the work of media and television which play a vital role in building and maintaining democracy.

International Students’ Day is observed annually on November 17
