CIFNET Job Description:
To function as Officer in charge of the departmental fishing vessels and to control all the floating staff members and mess activities onboard the fishing vessel. Responsible for upkeep of the equipments and licenses/records/repairs, timely intimations of the requirements for the operation, maintenance and safety of the vessel in consultation with the Chief Engineer including dry dock repairs. Impart onboard practical training to the Institutional and Post institutional trainees of various training programmes. Supervising the work of the Deck side staff during operation of the Fishing Vessel, Vessel maintenance, Maintenance of Fishing gears, loading ,preservations and unloading of catch, upkeep of Navigation records, mess activities, arranging day and night watch duty onboard the fishing Vessel
