Chief Economic Advisor!! Dr V. Anantha Nageswaran Starts his Service as a CEA Today!! The Indian government designates Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran as the chief Economic Advisor. He starts his service as a chief from today, 29 Jan 2022. Chief Economic Advisor – CEA is a part of the cabinet of Finance Ministry.
This CEA post is equivalent to rank of Secretary to the Government of India. The CEA is the ex-officio cadre controlling authority of the Indian Economic Service. It is the head of economic division of the department of economic affairs, Ministry of Finance, government of India.

Dr V. Anantha Nageswaran is already in the position of the Economist in Indian government. In the years between 2019 and 2021 he played part time role in Economic Advisory Council as a board member. Dr V. Anantha becomes the 18th Chief Economic Advisor – CEA of the Indian government.
Earlier he was worked as the Dean of the IFMR Graduate School of Business and a visiting Professor of Economics at Krea University. He also worked as a writer, author, teacher and consultant. He had done his teaching profession at many business schools and organizations of management in India and in Singapore. Congratulations for his new position.
