Chandrayaan-3 Update: Vikram Lander Module Successfully Detached From Propulsion Module: Indian Space Research Organization’s third moon mission Chandrayaan 3 has successfully performed its Vikram Lander module separation from the propulsion module on Today (17.08.2023). This was officially announced by ISRO on their website and X (Formerly Twitter).

According to the report, the next Lander module (Deorbit 1) descend maneuver is scheduled for Tomorrow (18.08.2023) around 16.00 hrs IST. This is one of the milestone achievements by ISRO and the soft landing of Vikram Lander on the Moon’s South Pole has been scheduled on August 23, this is the crucial and toughest part of the mission.

ISRO marked this historic event through a quote “Lander Module to Propulsion Module (PM): Thanks for the ride mate”. With this move, India has three spacecraft revolving around the moon, ISRO states that the Propulsion Module (PM) will continue its journey in the current orbit for moth/years.
