Is Central Govt Plans to Conduct SSC Exams in Hindi Language Only??? See What Minister Said!!! Generally, competitive examinations for the state government departments are conducted in the respective state languages. But competitive exams conducted for Central Government Departments are being held in English and Hindi only. So, Central Government alleged for this practice is causing hardships to the candidates appearing in competitive examinations for central government departments.
Therefore, demands are being made that these competitive examinations should be conducted in the respective state languages as well. Now Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra has said that the Central Government has no plans to conduct the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examinations only in the Hindi language. It is said that the Central government recruits for various posts through SSC and UPSC.
In this Civil Services (Mains) examination conducted by UPSC, candidates can write answers in regional languages other than language and literature papers. Similarly, the exams conducted by SSC are usually in Hindi and English. However, Paper II of the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination is conducted in all 22 languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
