The 1st term was ended on December 2021. In this situation, The Covid-19 new variant Omicron’s infection rate is increasing day by day. Experts saying that among other Covid-19 variants Omicron is highly spreadable. Now, let see it will affect CBSE Term 2 exam or not.

BE / B.Tech Can Apply 2022

Like every year CBSE will be conduct Term 2 board exam in the month of March-April 2022. Expert says that Omicron infection rate will reach its peak in the end of February and started to decrease in March 2022. So it seems this Omicron is not going to affect the Term 2 exams. Even half of 10th and 12th students and most of the teachers were vaccinated now.

In other case, students are vaccinated or not, if the cases number goes up to 10 lakh or even worse, then the government will order lockdown. Already CBSE completed Term 1 exam, so they students will get marks to join in colleges, if the term 2 exam was cancelled. In other case term 2 exam may conduct in online mode.

Term 1 exam is completely conducted in MCQ pattern; if the covid-19 infection gets worse then the exam may be conducted via online mode in MCQ pattern. But, CBSE Coordinator, Dr. Prasad pointed that the board can choose between MCQ and Subjective as it is prepared for both but it is more likely to be subjective.

So, the examination may also conduct in subjective mode as scheduled, but may be in the month of April-May. After before the college joining may get delayed. But the conduct of CBSE term 2 examinations is mandatory and cancellation is not a good thing. However no official information haven’t released yet.
