BRO GREF Selection Process 2021:
The selection is made strictly as per merit as per availability of vacancies; on the basis of marks in written exam and qualifying in the Physical Efficiency Test and Practical Test as applicable to the particular trades. The dates for Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Practical Test (Trade Test) will be decided by Commandant, GREF Centre, Pune.
Written Exam:
- Question paper will be answered in blue/black ball point pen only. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi and the duration of the examination may vary from 1hrs to 3hrs depending upon the trade. The objective type Questions will be OMR based and subjective questions have to be answered in the answer sheet.
- Minimum passing marks for UR, EWSs & OBC category is 50% and for SC & ST category is 40%.
Physical Efficiency Test:
Candidates will undergo physical efficiency test based on call letter issued and candidates those who qualify in the physical test will only be allowed to attend the further practical test as applicable to the post.

Practical / Trade Test:
Candidates will undergo Practical / Trade test wherever applicable and those who qualify in Practical / Trade Test will only be considered for the final merit list based on marks in the written exam.
Age + Experience:
The last date for reckoning age and experience should be the closing date of the receipt of application for main land states (Not the dates of receipt of application from NE states etc).
The Medical Examination & Medical Tests:
Medical examination and medical tests will be carried out as per guidelines of this Notification for each provisionally selected candidate. The Medical Examination will be carried out by a Medical Board nominated by HQ DGBR.

- Cutting of Stencils
- Letter writing of English and Hindi alphabets & numerals of specific size
- Making of drawings
- Questions on painting & polishing/varnishing of wood
- Knowledge of different types of paints
- Preparation & storage of paints & varnishes
- General Knowledge.
Multi Skilled Worker Mess Waiter:
- Handling & identification of different types of crockery
- Maint of Room
- Food service etiquettes
- Beverage service etiquettes
- General Knowledge
Vehicle Mechanic:
- Operations of petrol / diesel engines
- Checking of faults
- Repair & maintenance of engine
- Repair & Maintenance of fuel system

Driver Mechanical Transport (Ordinary Grade):

Practical Test/Skill Test:
Trade test is conducted at GREF Centre or any other centre, minimum 40% marks are required to qualify and is applicable for following posts:
Multi Skilled Worker Painter:
- Mixing of paints
- Preparation of surface for painting
- Polishing/vanishing
- Identification of brushes as per use
- Removal of old paint
Multi Skilled Worker Mess Waiter:
- Beverage serving etiquette
- Food serving etiquettes
- Use of different types of crockery/cutlery
- Laying out a dining table for various occasions
- Preparation of bed
- Identification of food/beverage
Vehicle Mechanic:
- Identification of engine parts
- Identification of parts of transmission system
- Identification of parts of fuel system
- Identification of different Lubricants / oils
- Identification of tools, eqpts
Driver Mechanical Transport (Ordinary Grade):
- Maneuvering of slope without slipping
- Driving of vehs on a driving track (‘8’)
- Reverse parking
