Specifically, the company is said to need 15,000 workers for its supermarket business, 2,000 for its Argos general merchandise business, and 1,000 for logistics. Now, new hires will each be paid £10.25 an hour, while staff from London-based companies will be paid £11.30, Sainsbury’s said. Apart from this, it has also been announced that seasonal employees will be given free meals and discount cards during their shift hours.
