Now on the job shift to India, a Boeing spokesperson said, ‘We are simplifying the structure to reduce the complexity seen over the past several years and focus more resources on engineering, manufacturing, and product development. So we expect fewer than 150 cuts this year across US sites. This year we have expanded the number of Boeing Company by about 10,000 employees’.

Meanwhile, the Boeing operations to be launched in India will be headquartered in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hindon, while field service offices and Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center will be located in Bengaluru and Chennai. So far Boeing has 4,000 direct employees in India. The company also employs more than 7,000 people in its manufacturing, engineering, and IT departments with Indian suppliers.
