BCCI Presents New protocols for IPL 2021 – Check the Changes Here!!!

IPL 2021: BCCI Sets New Protocols in Place, Balls Hit for Six to be Replaced, Sanitized. The IPL has decided to change a few rules for the remainder of the 2021 season, which will begin next month in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The BCCI has decided that cricket balls will be replaced by the fourth umpire if they go in the stands or outside the stadium, according to the health and safety protocols released by the Indian board to all IPL teams.

Six Days of Strict Separation

  • All support staff, including players going to visit the UAE for the IPL, will be required to complete a six-day separation period.

Saliva usage Prohibited Continues

The use of saliva to shine the ball will be prohibited. If a player does apply saliva to the ball, the umpires will be permissive during the initial adjustment period for the players, but subsequent instances will result in the team receiving a warning. Repeat offences will result in a 5-run penalty to the batting side. (In IPL, the saliva rule applies.)
