 BARC Courses 2020-2022 Details:

Radiation Medicine Centre of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre invites applications for undergoing the courses under the sponsorship of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. Now the board has released the detailed notification of M.Sc. (Hospital Radiopharmacy) and M.Sc. (Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology).

BARC M.Sc Courses Vacant Seat Details:

  • M.Sc. (Hospital Radiopharmacy) – 10 (5 Non-Sponsored and 5 Sponsored).
  • M.Sc. (Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology)- 10 (5-Non-Sponsored and 5-Sponsored)

BARC Courses Eligibility Details:

M.Sc. (Hospital Radiopharmacy)

  • m.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology as subjects in the H.S.C. level (or) B.Pharm.
  • Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Science Subjects at B.Sc./ B.Pharm level
  • Candidates who have not obtained results of final year B.Sc. examination may also apply, provided they have obtained atleast 50% aggregate marks in the I and II year B.Sc. examination.

  • Sc. with Physics / Chemistry / Math (or) B.Sc. in Life Sciences with Physics as a subject (or) B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University.
  • Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Science subjects at B.Sc. level.

BARC Duration of the Course:

These programs shall be of two academic years (2020-2022) duration consisting of four semesters. There will be examination at the end of every semester.

BARC M.Sc Courses 2020-22 Age Limit:

 Aspirant should be not more than 35 years age as on 01.05.2020. The upper age limit can be relaxed for the case of SC/ST candidates, for 5 Years. For the OBC category candidates the upper age limit will relaxable for 3 years and for PWD category, the age relaxation will be given for 10 year.

BARC Courses Stipend Details:

Candidates, who will be selected for these M.Sc. Courses, may get a stipend of 15,000/- p.m. to each Non-Sponsored candidate. No stipend is admissible to Sponsored candidates.

BARC M.Sc Courses Selection Process:

Candidates, who are willing to study the course, should passed in the CAT (Common Admission Test). This CAT will contain the 150 Multiple Choice Questions which will be taken from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology of the level of Standard 12 or equivalent. Candidates have to get minimum of 50% marks in this examination to qualify. A merit list of candidates qualifying the CAT will be made and candidates will be called in order of merit to attend Counseling Session. Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training for a period of 2 years. The details of the date and venue of the examination will be intimated by the board later.
