Since October is a festival-filled month, false information concerning 21 days of holidays is being shared on social media. In this regard, bank representatives stated: State-by-state differences exist in bank holidays. just a national holiday; all states are affected. In Tamil Nadu, just three days are bank holidays: Vijayadashami on the fifth, Saraswati Puja on the fourth, and Diwali on the twenty-fourth. The second and fourth Saturdays, as usual, are bank holidays in addition to this. There is no national holiday this year because October 2 falls on a Sunday.

In October, there are just 10 bank holidays in Tamil Nadu.Public holidays only make up three days of this. So, they advised, don’t trust the misleading information on social media.

October 4 is a bank holiday with Durga Puja, Dusshera (MahaNavami), AyudhaPooja, and SrimantaSankardeva’sJanmotsav.

Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong, and Thiruvananthapuram are among the cities where banks will be closed.

In India, all banks will be closed on October 5 in observance of Durga Puja, Dussehra (VijayaDashmi), and SrimantaSankardeva’sJanmotsav, with the exception of Imphal.
